Meetings and Sub-committeesThis page is subject to our Disclaimer. General MeetingsMeetings shall be monthly (or not less than 8 times per year). There must be at least 2 executive and 2 committee members personally present at any meeting. Only life members, participating members (over 16) and ordinary members who are financial members can vote.
President or Vice-President is the Chairperson, however, if not there, those present may elect any member. The Chairperson will have a second or casting vote in case of an equality of voting. There is a maximum time of 2 hours allocated for a meeting, with maximum 2 half-hourly extensions by a majority vote. Meeting can be adjourned to any time, as long as it is less than 14 days from the original meeting, in which case a new notice of meeting must be given. (Read Sec16) Special MeetingThe President may call a special meeting or any 4 members of the committee may do this to discuss a special subject. Only this special subject can be discussed on this meeting. Sub-committeesThere must be 3 members to a sub-committee and the Public
Officer is responsible for calling these meetings. (Read
